Joint Five-Year B.A. Economics / M.B.A. Program
![]()
The suggested curriculum is displayed at the bottom of this page.
Students wishing to pursue the joint program should make this known to the Director of Undergraduate Studies of the Department of Economics by the beginning of their sophomore year and plan to pass MTH 121 and 122, or MTH 141 and 142.
After approval by the Economics Department and enrollment in appropriate courses, the student applies to the School of Management during the third year of study. The GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) is required as part of the application. Students must also submit a letter from the Economics Department to the School of Management verifying that their third year in the course of study is presently being completed.
Admission is limited to students who have demonstrated superior capabilities. Each candidate must meet all the requirements of both the Department of Economics and the School of Management, except for the reduction in total credit hours. Applications for the joint five year program may be obtained in 203 Alfiero or at the following link: http://mgt.buffalo.edu/home/programs/mba/application/applications.
