Listed below are sample course plans to give students a better idea about what their coursework timetable might look like. Please note that this is for illustration purposes only. If you have any questions or concerns regarding appropriate coursework, please make sure to contact the Assistant Director of the Masters Economics Program.
M.A.: Thirty credit hours including the five core M.A. courses. Successful completion of the M.A. Macro/Micro Comprehensive Examination.

M.A. General Program Requirements (30 credits)
The M.A. General Program consists of 10 courses (30 credits) of which 8 courses must be Masters Economics courses. There are five required core classes for the M.A. program (ECO 505, ECO 507, ECO 580, ECO 581, & ECO 576) and there are five elecitves. Of the five electives, a minimum of three must be Masters Economics courses. The remaining two courses can be Masters Economics electives or approved elecitves from outside the department. Please see this webpage for a list of electives approved outside the department.

Please note: A student needs to complete 10 classes (30 credits) for the M.A. Program This includes 5 core classes and 5 electives. One need not specifically take ECO 526, ECO 569, ECO 570 to complete the degree. These are just classes that are traditionally offered at night.
